Safeguarding God’s People–a course required for all who do pastoral care with adults, including clergy and LEV’s, will be held at Trinity on Saturday, April 12 from 1:30-4:30.  Please let them know you will be attending by sending an email to Paula Gartman at pgartman@fortworthtrinity.org.

Holy Week Schedule–Things will be a little different this year!  St. Alban’s, St. Stephen’s and St. Luke’s in the Meadow will be joining for worship on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Vigil at St. Luke’s on the Meadow Episcopal Church, 4301 Meadowbrook Dr Fort Worth, TX 76103.  Please see the “This Week at St. Alban’s” section below and our calendar page for more information.  We will have our traditional Easter Day service back in the Theatre – with the Easter Egg Hunt and other festivities to follow!

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd–the atria will be closed on Easter Sunday so everyone can participate in the festivities after the service.  The atria will be open on Palm Sunday as usual.

Intercessory Prayer Team Update–Patricia Sylvester will be out of town from April 19th – May 7th.  Please send all prayer requests to Annette Mayer during this period (contact the church office for Annette’s contact information if you do not have a church directory).

Adult Sunday School–on Sunday, April 27th, Annette will be leading a session on Hospice 101. It will cover information such as what hospice is (comfort care at the end of life), what it isn’t (we don’t kill patients!!), Medicare criteria, how to know when it’s time to consider, what it covers. This will be installment 2 of the discussion started last Sunday on Advance Directives.  Feel free to bring all of your questions – follow-up sessions can be scheduled for topics not covered on the 27th such as funeral planning, caring for caregivers, or anything else that is of interest.

Vestry meeting for April has been moved to April 27th.  Vestry meetings are open except for discussion of personnel matters. The meeting is held in Classroom One from 3:30 to 5:30. The Vestry will also be meeting on April 15 to visit with Mother Melanie and plan for her return from leave on April 21 – this will be  a closed a closed session because it is limited to discussion of personnel.

Tickets Available for “Nunsense”!–St. Alban’s will be hosting a private showing of “Nunsense” on Sunday May 18th at Theatre Arlington. The  fund-raising event for St. Alban’s gets underway with a wine and hors d’ oeuvres reception at 5:30 and curtain time is 6:30. Tickets will be available for purchase beginning this Sunday – contact Pam Hardaway or Sue Dubec to make sure you get your seats before they’re all gone!
